We were founded in 2004 and have been in operation for over six years. We are 100% Australian owned privately held company.
Our Executive Management have over twelve years of recruitment agency experience, however prior to establishing the agency they also worked for over 30 years in senior consulting positions in information technology.
Within our professional experience we were responsible for the handling of numerous large infrastructure projects for both corporate and government institutions that included the tertiary education sector.

The Executive Management also benefit from the governance of the Advisory Board which comprises the current President of the Australian Computer Society, Anthony Wong and the National Chairman of the Australian Teleservices Association, Anthony Seaegg.
People ask why the name 2IT
Well at first it was the two of us, that is David and Matthew, we were good friends who met whilst working at a major telecommunications company.
The telecommunications market was changing rapidly and we were deciding what are we going to do with our careers.
Sure we had recruited people before but our experience of recruitment companies hadn't been all that positive.
So the discussion started about us and our careers, but it finished about you and yours, because we decided that we would like to try something refreshingly different.
We say we are refreshingly different but what does that mean?
A common feedback from candidate interactions that we have is that there is a refreshing difference in the way we interact with them comparatively to other experiences that they have had with other recruitment agencies.
We take the call and talk with candidate enquiries; we don’t just hide behind emails or voicemail.
We are honest with the candidate on whether we feel they are appropriate for the role.
We try to add value to every candidate giving them genuine advice on their career, improving their CV or presentation tips, improving their employment chances even if we are not in a position to help them for the particular opportunity they applied for, it’s not all just about the money.
We demonstrate a good knowledge of the role, what the client is really looking for in a candidate, our consultants tend to have a technical background so they genuinely understand the roles in which they recruit for, it’s not just keywords and a tick list.
We agree on a marketing strategy in advance with the candidate and gain their full permission before ever presenting their resume externally.
We keep them informed on the progress of their application and delays, there are no black holes.
When we negotiate on salaries we’ll be fair on the client and the candidate in their expectations, doing our best to achieve for them what we believe they are worth.
We’ll continue to follow the candidate into the placement ensuring they are succeeding in the new role and assisting them integrate.
Our candidates feel like they can have a relationship with us for their entire career not just this one job.

We’ll have done our homework, we’ll understand their vertical and business and competition. We’ll be genuine and knock back opportunities where we feel we can’t help the client.
We exhaust every avenue to identify the best talent for the position; we can be innovative, creative in developing new sourcing strategies.
Only highly relevant screened candidates are sent to the client, not a flood of average matches.
It’s not about fee but long term wins to the client in terms of a successful contributing employee and a happy employee who is culturally matched to the employer.

A few facts about us
We started back in 2004 with an investment of $5,000, that went on our first website and our first server, which was affectionately known as 'Betsy'.
We started with only our professional contacts but have today grown our candidate database to over 47,000 individuals.
We have also won a few awards along the way twice been recognised by BRW Magazine as one of the fastest growing companies in Australia.
