Our client has been established for over 10 years in the delivery of IT&T infrastructure and managed and professional services to mid-sized corporate's from 50 - 500 seats with presence across Sydney and Melbourne. Typical projects include the provision of LAN and WAN infrastructure such as server, desktop, virtualisation, storage, hosting / co-location up to and including infrastructure as a service..

They are a heavily engineering focussed organisation and their growth has significantly occurred from word of mouth referral based upon satisfied client base and successful project delivery.

We are looking for a new business development manager who is able to introduce their services to organisations outside of their existing base. The business development manager must be technically literate to be able to qualify opportunities prior to the introduction of an engineering assessment.

To be successful you will need to be able to demonstrate a structured approach to business development

  • Foremost a self starting mentality
  • An analytical approach to understanding and segmenting the existing customer base, building case studies for a market vertical based sales approach.
  • An understanding of building relationships with key vendors for vendor referral to new business.
  • Developed sales qualification experience and funnel management with a focus on short to mid-term opportunity development.
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Presentation skills from technical to C level
  • A willingness and ability to pick up the phone, build proposals, present to decision makers and ask for the business..
  • A demonstrated ability to sell from a transactional level both products and services up to concept and solution selling of managed services up to and including full technology outsourcing.
